About the Boat
The Viper has been one of the longest and more successful lines in the Nelo Range.
So successful that now we are taking it to the youngest athletes by creating a smaller version, the Mini Viper.
The Mini Viper is perfect for young athletes for ages around 14/15 years old and offers a great glide without compromising stability.
So, we believe that with this concept we can bring many young people to the sport, for training or just to tour with great performance.
Layups Description
P | Polyethylene | Built-in polyethene material. With more than 50% recycled material! |
A1 | Fiberglass Epoxy | This is the basic layup that is meant to be an affordable option for touring and learning boats. |
F | Hybrid Carbon Epoxy | A very durable and resistant layup, ideal for sprint training and competition. A great balance between stiffness and price. |
WWR | Carbon/Kevlar Epoxy | It was specifically developed for down river, marathon training, and sea racing. It stands out for the balance between its lightness and stiffness. |
G | Carbon Honeycomb Epoxy | High-quality construction, amazing stiffness, prepared for high performance. |
E | Lightweight Carbon Epoxy | It was specifically developed for marathon events. As light as it can be while being very resilient in a demanding sport. |
SCS | Solid Composite System | Provides an excellent performance level because of it’s extreme stiffness, the result of using state-of-the-art materials and technologies. Ideal for high level competition. This layup also stands out for the available options, such as, weights, covers, fittings and designs. |
FC | Full Carbon | The beauty of a clear carbon boat while being the stiffest layup, all possible by using an infusion process for maximum fiber and resin impregnation. |
AIR | Ultralight Weight | Was specifically developed for surfski boats, standing out for being extremely lightweight. It’s especially suited for high performance in all conditions. |

How to Setup your Nelo Boat
The Perfect trim | Valid for flatwater models
As with any high-performance machine, there is an ideal configuration where our boats are at peak efficiency, specifically with the angle of attack (pitch). This guide will help you trim your boat in order to be at that perfect angle when at speed.
- Check the table and images below to find the right measures for your boat size. That’s how you find the optimum static rending.
- Using a marker trace a small straight line, according to the right measure indicated in the table, on the bow for the static line;
- With the boat stopped, adjust your seat and footrest position so that the static line is levelled with the waterline. At that point is the Optimum Static Rending.
The measures we provide are for the median weight for each boat size (80 kg on an L, for example). So if you are on the limits of the boat’s weight range, the line will be over or under water, but the most important is that the static line is still levelled with the waterline.
DISCLAIMERÂ
These ideal trims were the result of real-world testing and CFD analysis, under optimal conditions: flat water, constant speed, no wind, and average water temperature. Meaning that these results may not apply to other scenarios.
