At Nelo, we believe that our sport should be available for everybody, and that’s the reason we keep organizing different events with different people in mind, from flatwater to the ocean. Water is where we feel free and fully connected.
Four Exclusive Events
Whether you are a top athlete or just a beginner, we organize events so that all people can participate and have a good time both in and out of the water.
NELO SUMMER CHALLENGE
The Nelo Summer Challenge is the best ocean surfski race, being held every year for the surfski and the outrigger canoe paddlers.
The main race is the 19.5km long downwind course which connects Viana do Castelo to Ofir’s beach in Esposende.
NELO WINTER CHALLENGE
The Nelo Winter Challenge is a reference in the winter races, not only for the quality of athletes participating, but also the level of organization that presents in a friendly and relaxed yet competitive atmosphere.
It hosts many of the best paddlers from around the world, including Olympians medalists.
510 CUP
The Nelo 510 CUP aims to attract the largest number of athletes and fans of the canoeing specialty, promote the sport, encourage outdoor sports practice, and enhance surfski boats, resulting in an event where everyone participates in the same boat model, the Nelo 510.
