Marathon Worlds
Worlds in Portugal, was something special for us, and for all the Portuguese Fans, even more when Portugal took 4 medals.

Marathon has a great opportunity, and the organizers have to see it more and more, it is called Masters, they are enthusiastic, excited and motivated, so they deserve the same coverage and organizing levels as the so-called main races. We from our end try to keep up with their requests as much as possible, and giving them the same service as we do to all the others.

The first few days were the busiest we have ever seen at a Marathon Worlds, without a doubt our reputation of service providers is highly recognized, and we feel proud that a lot of people including the best paddlers in the World only trust us with their boats.
Having a Junior/U23 race this late in the season made that a lot of the best paddlers of those classes showed up for this event, making that some of them had the same or even bigger participation that the Open class. We are proud to say that from all these classes we only missed one gold medal, and that we took full podiums on all the Kayak events.

In the Senior races it was not much different, amazing fields and unbelievable races (for the ones that did not see them live, go and see them on the internet http://www.canoemarathonwc2009.com).

Being on top of this market for so long, one could think that the athletes would be tired of our solutions, well we have been careful enough to listen to their expectations and able to react fast in their direction, the result gold medals! Busto, Csabai, Merchan, Csay and Rubenstein are all World Champions and they have been with us from the beginning but also the new rising stars such as Beatriz Gomes POR K1 W , Lani Belcher GBR K1 W, Ben Brown GBR K1, José Ramalho POR K1 and Franz Michael GER C1.

Instead of celebrating we are already thinking what we can do to improve our boats and our service for this special discipline, that is very dear to us at NELO, and hopefully improve even more our results in Spain next year! See you there!
